Austin Becicka (B.Bm.E., UMN)
Undergraduate Research Assistant
e-mail: beci0007@umn.edu

Austin is a senior undergradaute student in Biomedical Engineering. He is currently working on a research project attempting to control cell behavior by varying the stiffness of the cell's underlying substrate. In his freetime, he enjoys running, traveling, and cliff jumping in the summer.

Emily Sevcik (B.Bm.E., UMN. Now at Carnegie Mellon University)
Undergraduate Research Assistant
e-mail: sevci024@umn.edu

Emily is a senior in Biomedical Engineering. She is currently working to determine how arterial injury resulting in flow over vascular smooth muscle may affect in-stent restenosis. Previously, she has worked to develop engineered tissues that mimic the tissue architecture at sites where cerebral aneurysms are likely to form. Outside of the lab, Emily enjoys baking, music, and spending time with her family and friends.

Paige Voight (B.Bm.E., UMN. Now at University of Michigan)
Undergraduate Research Assistant
e-mail: voigt106@umn.edu

Paige is a senior in Biomedical Engineering. Most of Paige's time in the lab has been spent on pulmonary muscular thin films. Paige has also done research at the University of Michigan focusing on the electrical stimulation of engineered skeletal muscle constructs as well as some work on angiogenesis in engineered tissues. Paige likes to learn new skills and is currently taking a horse back riding class offered on campus and is also attempting to teach herself how to quilt.
